Read a record

What each part of a business's page tells you.

Help centre · Getting started · Updated 8 October 2026

A record is one business on one page. Across the top are tabs: Overview, People, Decision-makers, Generic, Signals, Activity, Notes and Tasks.

On the overview

  • The snapshot. A short summary written from the record's fields, so it changes the moment they do. It has a button to write an opener from it.
  • Best route in. The person and address to start with, such as a director whose own mailbox is verified.
  • Latest signal. The most recent change, with its date.
  • Your history. Where you are with this business, and who last touched it.
  • Company. Company number, status, legal form, incorporation date, SIC codes and registered office.
  • Contact. Each email, phone number and website, with its label.
  • How we know. For each field, how many independent places agree, and when we last checked.
