Sell to sole traders,
the right way.
A great many UK businesses are one person with a van, a chair or a laptop, and they never appear on the company register. Adapt Leads holds them too, with the same labels, and tells you what kind of business each one is so you can choose the right way to get in touch.

Held, labelled and honest.
Nothing is hidden
A sole trader's record carries the same labels as any other: what we hold, how sure we are and when we last checked.
Complete without a register
A sole trader has no company number or directors. A record for one isn't marked down for that, and can say that it holds all there is.
Consent for email
A sole trader is an individual under PECR, so email marketing needs their consent. We show the business type and label every address, and the choice is yours.
With no register to check, two sources have to agree.
A limited company can be proven against the official register. A sole trader can't, so a detail only becomes Proven when two independent sources agree. Until then, it's Claimed, and we say so. We never fill a gap with a guess.
Questions, answered
Can I email a sole trader?
A sole trader is an individual under PECR, so email marketing needs their consent. We show the address and label it, and the choice is yours. This is not legal advice, so read our UK GDPR and PECR page and the ICO's guidance.
Can I call a sole trader?
Yes, from your own phone, but check the Telephone Preference Service registers before marketing calls. Our UK GDPR and PECR page explains.
Where do sole traders come from?
From licensed business data and the business's own published information. With no register to check against, a sole trader's details are Proven only when two independent sources agree.
Why does a record say all there is?
We hold everything that kind of business publishes. A sole trader has no register entry or directors, so a record can be complete without them.
Can a sole trader ask to be removed?
Yes, any time. Remove my data, and the removal applies everywhere, including exports you have not made yet.
