Open a business.
See how we know.
Every record is one business on one page: who runs it, how to reach them, what changed lately and what you've already done. Each value says how sure we are, in plain words, and when we last checked it.

Every value says where it stands.
Proven means two independent sources agree, or a register says so. Claimed means one source says it and nothing contradicts it. Contested means sources disagree, so we show both and change nothing until one wins. Unknown means we hold nothing, and we never fill a gap with a guess.
We count origins, not sightings.
Each field has its own bars. Three bars mean the official register says so, or three independent places agree. Two mean two do. Fewer bars mean fewer places agree, so you can see what to check before you rely on it. Each field also says when we last checked.

Start with the right person.
The record shows the best route in: the director whose own mailbox is verified, the number to ring, who to ask for. Labels such as Director's own and Role mailbox tell you what kind of address you're looking at.

Your history sits beside ours.
Emails sent, replies, calls, LinkedIn steps, notes and tasks sit on the same record as the facts, so the whole team sees where a conversation stands. The snapshot at the top is written from the record's fields, so it changes the moment they do.

Questions, answered
What does Proven mean?
Two independent sources agree, or an official register says so. A business's own website counts as one source however many pages we read.
What's the difference between Claimed and Contested?
Claimed means one source says it and nothing contradicts it. Contested means sources disagree, so we show you both and change nothing until one wins.
Why does a catch-all email still appear?
The business's mail server accepts every address, so no check can prove a single address is real. We keep the address and label it, and you decide whether to send.
Why do some records say all there is?
We hold everything that kind of business publishes. A sole trader has no register entry or directors, so a record can be complete without them.
A record is wrong. What do I do?
Email us the record and what is wrong with it. We correct it in the book, so it's fixed for everyone, and we don't charge you for an export that turned out to be wrong. Contact us.
